these guard rails you need and it's not just about that one night it's about at what point can your family or you if you're without one rely on you to show up and not be at work mentally and you have an obligation to them so when you think about it that way what you should do is if you decide that's eight o'clock at night or seven o'clock at night or nine o'clock light whatever it is then that's the time you let everyone know and then you have to create rituals of transition which make you feel like you're no longer at work
