So for example, journaling does that really really well. You know when people find that when they write about their feelings that their feelings don't feel so intense. The reason is because you can't actually you can't write with your lyic system. You have to write with your prefrontal cortex. You want to move the experience of your emotions to the executive centers of your brain.
