from like a a biochemical perspective sucrose is 50 glucose 50 fructose high fructose corn syrup can be as high as 58 but typically is 55 in the U.S um and some people will say that five percent extra fructose doesn't seem to be that much big of a difference um it's also you know if you're talking about like naturally occurring sucrose which is another name for sugar versus high fructose corn syrup is synthetically made there may be some differences too in regards to the effects of high fructose corn syrup versus let's say just natural sugar coming from sugarcane
