if metformin really does work as potentially as an anti-aging strategy and we can show that those effects are due to complex one inhibition then it's hard to think why that you know that might be this idea that mitochondria rate-limiting or declining to a point during aging that century is that idea can't hold up because you're giving essentially a weak complex one inhibitor to turn on stress responses which means you must have enough mitochondrial activity as you age it's down but not gone right right enough do not be rate limiting
