the bioenergetic capacity of the cell also regulates genomic stability right so as the mitochondria produce ATP if that's impaired ATP levels in the cell fall and the nucleus of the DNA has pretty high energetic demands to maintain DNA repair in the nucleus and if the ATP levels fall by not producing sufficient amounts of ATP or producing excess superoxide anion and shifting it more to an oxidative state that will destabilize a nuclear genome
