especially in the mitochondria there are free radicals that are produced in cellular respiration so we essentially talked about the electron transport chain the movement of electrons through the electron transport chains creates this this gradient this passage this this current of hydrogen ions or hydrogen ions through their electron through the membrane of the mitochondria into the inner mitochondrial space and then those hydrogen ions move out through the ATP motor into the space between the two mitochondrial membranes and that process creates ATP in that process there is the there is an electron at the end that has to go on to an oxygen molecule to farm water and there are free radicals produced
