and that is going to then lead to a backup there and a buildup of citrate that has a number of different effects so the citrate on its own can then directly block glycolysis it inhibits phosphofructokinase which is the rate limiting enzyme of glycolysis but then it also leads to a buildup of acetal COA and so with the buildup of acetal COA and the high nadh 10 ad8 ratio this then slows down pyruvate dehydrogenase which further slows the the entrance of glucose to pyruvate into the CB cycle
