but at some point when it gets older when the membrane is a little bit leaky er when it can't it'll stop holding charge so it's that ability to keep a difference in charge across the membranes that is the same reason your little 1.5 volt battery in your Walkman I love that I'm saying walkman by the way there's half the people listening this won't actually write out what that means or then 9-volt battery in your detector or frankly the fancy I don't even know how many volts a Tesla battery is it's like 12 volts I'm guessing or something like that in an electric vehicle whatever but there's a reason you have to keep charging these but at some point even when you charge them they cease to work if it's a rechargeable and you race to saying look think of a mitochondria as partially being a battery that's right that's only one form of energy right so that's taking chemical to electric that's exactly right
