The ALS study using NR and tert-butyl bean had no observed toxicity and was a reasonable first attempt, with a phase 2 trial being hoped for to provide more robust data.

“again this was a very small study um clearly this would be a phase one study so again first and foremost you're just making sure hey there's no toxicity which there wasn't um and you're and you're basically saying is there any smoke anywhere that makes me think there's a fire um I believe is a phase 2 trial ongoing”
