so the concern that i have with plant-based cosmetics and plant-based sunscreens is that they are going to get absorbed and that because they're lipids they're going to become incorporated into the cell membranes of our face our skin and that they could be even worsening things now a lot of those those products have really bad additives like oxybenzones and avobenzones but you know i used to use a sunscreen this is part of my learning over the last few years um and i won't name the brand but it's a it's a natural sunscreen but it has the first ingredient or the second ingredient i think is either sunflower or safflower oil so there's none of these oxybenzones or able benzos it has non-nano zinc which is the thing you want to use on your sunscreen like a zinc-based sunscreen but when you put a sunflower oil or safflower oil in your skin the concern is does that enrich the cell membranes of your skin does it make your skin more susceptible to photo aging wrinkles cancers etc
