The best food sources of magnesium are foods that have moderate to large amounts of magnesium that don't contain phytic acid, which is a large molecule that chilates magnesium that bites onto magnesium and prevents you from absorbing it. So, you want foods that don't have phytic acid, which are essentially foods that are not grains or beans. And you want foods that don't have a lot of oxalates.
