Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.

you have to affect the quality of the food you have to increase the quality of the food
if you focus on good quality foods your body will become healthy if you calorie restrict which is something that I talked about in the longevity versus optimal podcast previously if you calorie restrict your thyroid will suffer your basil metabolic rate will suffer and you will put yourself into a VI ious cycle I call it calorie restricted prison it doesn't work long term you must focus on food quality and if you do that you will be more satiated and lose weight easily
if you improve the quality of your foods you will lose weight full stop end of story I stand by that
