and lo and behold at the end of the study what they found was that LDL was lower in the group that got more polyunsaturated fat of course this is not surprising and we can talk about why why you think poly saturated fats might lower LDL but this is what's so interesting this oxidized LDL molecule that we are talking about getting taken up by that locks receptor went up in the vegetable oil group and you can see that right here it says the amount of oxidized LDL went up the median plasma Ox LDL increased by 27% in response to the lowfat low vegetable diet um and that was the um that was the one with high polyunsaturated fats and the lp little a concentration was increased by 7% as well
