I am by and large using the medical version of the ketogenic diet so when Eric Westman put this particular patient on her die he was doing the weight loss version of the diet it was basically the Atkins diet with a lot of fat she lost 150 pounds there's no question that she was ketogenic for most of that and when somebody's morbidly obese it's actually pretty easy for them to get into high levels of ketosis because they have so much fat on their body to lose as as people are thinner like if as people lose that weight and or if somebody comes to you already thin it actually is more challenging to get them in a high level of ketosis because they don't have as much fat on their body to tap into um so I've been using the medical version of the ketogenic diet which follows the Epilepsy version of this diet and so I usually use at a minimum a two-to-one ratio of fat carbohydrate and protein and sometimes go all the way up to a four to one ratio diet
