the other problem with much of the research surrounding polyunsaturated fatty acids specifically omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids including linoleic acid is that there is very rarely a wash out period in these studies they will do interventional studies where they give people linoleic acid in their diets but if people are already drowning swimming in linoleic acid is it really going to represent a difference over what they are having before the trial
