it's very short-sighted as you point out for these vegan or plant-based ideologies to point fingers at ruminants when like hey you guys doing monocrop agriculture which pulls out sequestered carbon from the soil or fossil fuel-based agriculture that is way more ecologically disruptive than ruminants that have been part of an ecologically biodiverse system for 100 million years
