I saw Makayla Peterson posted her labs when she talked around yeah she has a very low LDL particle number which is interesting because her LDL particles are small so it's strange you know like then we can look at particle size
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
the LDL particle number is high my LDL number is high now LDL number can be in milligrams per deciliter or it can be particle number and the particle number is something we need to do NMR nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy to see the LDL particle number but the particle number is high in people on ketogenic diets or carnivorous diets
as I went carnivore and lost weight my total cholesterol went up to 630 at its peak and it's now down to 485 my HDL stayed the same in the 90s and my triglycerides stayed in the 60s this whole time
so i think it depends on the individual i think some people like sean baker's lipids are fine he's another carnivore diet guy last time i saw his lipids look just fine so i think it depends on the individual but some people do experience a large increase in ldl cholesterol
and then there was a large increase in ldl cholesterol and so that's a concern you know as far as i'm concerned and i think you would agree and paul saladino himself you know i'm not trying to pick on him i don't want to make it personal but he's uh you know been public about some of this stuff so i think it's it's fair to point out to to just repeat what he himself has said but his ldl cholesterol is 533 megs per deciliter and his ldl particle count is also absolutely through the roof
Is the carnivore diet an LDL cholesterol catastrophe?
