So a basic elimination diet would be the foundation and then if you wanted to get more strict and kind of depends on how the person responds. Let's say you eliminate um gluten, dairy, soy, and processed foods and the person gets a lot better. That tells us that inflammatory foods might be the direction we want to advance in. So autoimmune paleo brings you further in that direction. However, if in doing that they see no response or they even regress, there's a fair likelihood going from a, you know, baseline American diet to an elimination diet, they're going to be increasing fruit and vegetable and fiber intake and inadvertently they may have increased their FODMAP intake. So, if that first direction doesn't pan out, we may want to move over to low FODMAP and see how they do there.
