Like when you compare kind of the standard Western diet or a diet that's high in meat and dairy, it can be very acidic and, in turn, produce a lot of inflammation. And as you know, and we can get into this. You know a lot more about this than I do, but that inflammation will impede recovery. So the more kind of like alkaline your diet is, the more you kind of reduce that inflammation and can enhance or expedite the recovery process, which allows you to train harder, push yourself harder, and go longer and all these things that extrapolated out over the course of a season or a year or a number of years can translate into performance gains.
