well the conjugation of functionalized metabolites from phase one detoxification with glucuronasal or glucuronide specifically by udp glucurosyltransferase is important for the excretion of those compounds this is why we run into problems with things like dysbiosis something i talked about with evan brand in this week's podcast earlier this week and compounds produced by dysbiotic bacteria such as uh enzo enzyme systems that deconjugate glucuronide from molecules causing them to recirculate in the entire hepatic circulation this is why we use things like calcium d-glucarate to inhibit beta glucuronidase because we want our body to do glucuronidation well then don't eat a bunch of black pepper which is clearly a plant seed that doesn't want to get eaten in the first place and inhibit your udp glucuronic transferase
