in in many species as they go into hibernation they consume more of these polyunsaturated fats so let's talk about this for a moment that across other species there is some Trend toward polyunsaturated fats inducing sluggishness hibernation weight gain like okay this is wild yeah so biology is really smart and there are a lot of purposes that we see in nature for the polyunsaturated fats they don't just Exist by accident there's actually sometimes benefit to inefficient mitochondrial respiration uh one would be as you said hibernation where if we want to slow down or metabolic rate so that we can hibernate we need to have polyunsaturated fats and so this is why you see increased consumption of things like nuts and seeds uh in Bears
