which as you pointed out is uncomfortable I'm open to the possibility that it could be at any level of the sort of neural circuitry that regulates food intake it could be very proximal in terms of taste aspects but it could also be some of the mechanisms that you that you mentioned I think that's perfectly perfectly reasonable how that works pointed out is a tough nut to figure out and I think like you said there are individuals who respond very well to diets of quite divergent composition but they have to be taking less calories than they are spending right and that's an easy thing to do mathematically it's a very hard thing to do clinically because again I think patients can tolerate a lot but I don't think people can tolerate hunger for very long
