Vegetables canonically are leaves, stems, roots, and seeds. Seeds are seeds, nuts, grains, and legumes. These are all the most highly defended parts of plants. They clearly contain defense chemicals. That is unarguable. That is incontrovertible, my friends.
So, the only question becomes, are those defense chemicals able to be detoxified by humans? Are they beneficial or are they harmful?
