i was heel striking with my running motor pattern and it was all i knew because i've worn shoes my whole life and i got the thickest shoes you could get they were these asics and you know i went to the running store i got this very complex analysis on my running gate and they were like oh you over pronate you need these really thick running shoes i forget they were they were like they were the asics beast they were called like the beast because they had the biggest thickest heel you could possibly get and basically a freaking like piece of steel preventing me from pronating so i was loving running for me it was suddenly freeing and i wasn't even running that much i was maybe running 35 miles a week and i did my fourth 5k and i remember walking around the grocery store afterwards you know kind of euphoric from the run i wasn't running that fast it was maybe at 18 or 19 minute 5k at that point which was nothing ridiculous at all and i was like oh my my fema really hurts but i stress fractured my femur in college because of a combination of poor diet and bad running form
