the papua new guineans of tucacenta they their diet 1972 published by senate and white 1973 they studied them for a couple of years in fact they've been studied for a number of years and but they're they're they're almost vegan sweet potatoes accounted for more than 90 of their calories they would feast on pork and chicken at times they were pork herders but that's they wouldn't kill their their pork very often just like the messiah won't kill their their milk providing cows very often and so um but anyway so here's their diet and this is published ninety four point six percent carb three percent protein two point four percent fat zero point six percent omega-6 i don't want you know i don't think this is a good diet i'm not telling anybody they should survive on sweet potatoes uh but this is just an incredible finding because this is what the researcher said population was lean physically fit and good nutritional state absence of obesity and hypertension no diabetes or ischemic heart disease was rare if not absent
