from 1909 it's a nut to 2000s this is from your book you can see this this grey line is obesity it's rising to 30% of the population and if we extended this graph in 2020 this would be up to 40% for obesity and then you can see that what happens is that as obesity rates are rising carbohydrate rates were going down and then carbohydrate rates have come up amount of consumption of carbohydrates come up a little bit but nothing more than they were in 1909
