There was a dramatic reduction in use of hormone therapy 70 to 80 percent reduction in use of hormone therapy so women who were being prescribed hormone therapy in the past for prevention of chronic diseases prevention of heart disease stroke cognitive decline those women were no longer being prescribed hormone therapy and that was a positive thing that was a positive change in clinical practice because the Whi showed that when hormone therapy is used for prevention of chronic disease purposes in women who have average age of 63 in women in mid to later menopause on average the risks outweigh the benefits so it was a favorable change
