that patient is now alive over 35 years later free of disease
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
that then led us to studies to understand how that was occurring and that then led to a lot of different direct directions cell transfer Gene modification and so on
it showed that simply administering this one molecule a t- cell growth factor uh could cause a cancer regression in a patient
until finally a patient that we treated in 1984 who had widespread melanoma uh was administered in lukan 2 and was the first patient finally after over 70 other patients to show us a tumor regression
because I2 as a t growth factor was mediating reproducible regressions it seemed reasonable that is being mediated by the ability of interlan 2 to stimulate lymp sites in Vivo
until finally a patient that we treated in 1984 who had widespread melanoma was administered interleukin-2 and was the first patient finally after over 70 other patients to show us a tumor regression uh the first time that a deliberate immunologic maneuver could reproducibly cause cancer regression
the realization finally that after all of those patient deaths uh due to it everybody had advanced cancer all would go on to die of their cancer survived in that patient now alive over 35 years later
