most of our vaccines are based on immunizing an individual so that they develop neutralizing antibodies there are very few t-cell based vaccines although it's likely that t-cells play a very very important role in the vaccination process but it's those neutralizing antibodies that when you first get infected they come in and they stop infection your t-cells can come in and clean up after you but they are really the basis of almost all licensed vaccines
