Other stable isotope tracers by @mackinprof & others found 1.2g/kg is a better estimate to replace daily amino acid losses.
So, most of the data that we have, and it's not ours, there's lots of other people who have contributed to this as well, suggest that a minimum might be closer to about 1.2 grams per kilogram of body weight per day. And, you know, athletes and even older people could probably benefit even from going up from that level up to about 1.6.
