“he says well he's uh he's 40 years old he was riding on the on the West Side Highway and he crashed and he broke his his femal neck I said well I'm coming and now let's fix this right away so I I said just go consent him for the surgery in which the resident was a junior resident he goes and talks to the patient about all the risks and benefits of the surgery and uh I go in to see the patient and he's got this like obviously I expect him to be miserable but he really it was like and I explained it goes he said to me says your resident just told me I have a 30% chance of dying this year”
