this is a meta-analysis meaning it's a study of studies of dietary intake and biomarkers of linoleic acid and mortality a systematic review and meta-analysis of these are prospective cohort studies and this is by a gentleman named june lee and um frank b hugh and we will talk about their uh their support from industry at the end of this discussion which makes some of this seem a little bit sketchy but there you can look through all these charts and then what's interesting is you look at this chart they all cause mortality and you see these three studies that i've marked here and you can really it's interesting if you look at linoleic acid consumption and all-cause mortality in the american cohorts and in this italian cohort there are many studies which make it look like linoleic acid consumption is associated with better outcomes but here's a chinese cohort zwang 2019 in the chinese health nat the chinese health study this one right here which actually shows that in asia more than oleic acid is associated with worse outcomes
