um there are a handful of reasons why a lot of why there's a lot of conflicting evidence here um when you really look into it they don't seem all that conflicting you know one is the overalliance and observational studies one is studies looking at Fresh soybean oil for example versus cooked soybean oil another is just the study duration if you're looking at you know okay what happens for the next few hours or even for the next couple weeks it's just going to take longer than that to get really good data and then the last point I'll make which maybe you know maybe we save for another conversation is there does seem to be really interesting data on the how genetics dictate the rate at which each of our individual bodies convert linoleic acid to Downstream metabolites and so studies studies that show one person having low levels of linoleic acid in their body and another person having high levels those levels don't necessarily correlate to dietary linoleic acid intake and the person having lower levels of linoleic acid but worse Health outcomes it could be because their body was so quick at converting that linoleic acid into even more harmful molecules
