there is a difference between types of Statin simvastatin atorvastatin which is lipor and fluvastatin are felt to be lipophilic things that statins or molecules that are more likely to perhaps cross the bloodb brain barrier whereas pravastatin and rosuvastatin Crestor are felt to be hydrophilic water soluble versus fat soluble and perhaps less likely to cross the bloodb brain barrier I would love to see an analysis of lipophilic statins versus hydrophilic statins with regard to dementia
