I could argue that statins are overprescribed because a lot of people are taking statins who are not likely to benefit. But I can put on another hat and say there's a lot of people out there who should be on statins who aren't because physicians aren't really sufficiently aggressive in taking high-risk patients and lowering their LDL in a way that still is safe.”
