if people don't understand the benefits of the different types of exercises and why you're doing them you know actually reverse engineering what the purpose is so you're thinking about the 90 year old version of you in a chair he needs to get up well that gives you the motivation to do strength training and if you didn't have the aerobic conditioning you'd start to think well once i get up out of said chair what do i want to do oh i might actually want to go and walk around the block with my grandchild oh what would that involve well at my house there's a hill and that hill goes from here to there and what if i want to stick them in a wagon and pull them like that's actually going to require aerobic capacity and that hill is pretty short so it's actually going to be pretty intense like it actually requires a near maximal effort for me and so i just think that the more people can tether what it is they are doing this for to something real it becomes a little easier to do these abstract workouts
