the way to gain lean muscle mass or to keep what you have is to get enough high quality protein in your diet and to do resistance exercise in order to trigger optimal muscle growth
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
weight training is probably the best way to either add lean mass or preserve it and then maybe protein intake itself is second
so the idea that oh well like if I eat some higher protein I can lay down some more lean body mass yeah you can but it's going to be really really minimal compared to what you can build through resistance training
