we also know that the amount of muscle the muscle that you have and the amount that you move it um it's a it's an important glucose sink so if you think about uh blood sugar regulation and we know that pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes like you said are significant risk factors for uh cognitive decline and dementia so you know it may be you know your increase increasing glucose flux that helps regulate blood sugar uh we also you know if you're moving your muscles um there's this sort of still exploding area looking at myokines um so things released by muscle tissue that may support uh brain function um igf-1 vergef bdnf brain derived neurotrophic factor that may support uh neuronal function abuse of survival factors to to keep neurons around
