so um at Worlds they will give medals for individual lifts so um there'll be a gold silver and bronze for squat gold silver bronze for bench press and gold silver bronze for deadlift and then there'll be those medals also for the overall and the overall is just the summation of the total of the number of lifts you hit so
so power lifting is very basic sport like you mentioned those three lifts the squat the bench press and the deadlift and they go in that order uh you get three attempts on each and uh they're Progressive so for example once you put in an attempt like let's say you put in a squad attempt of 550 pounds for your opener if you miss it you can't go down so usually the way people do it is you know first attempt is a pretty conservative weight kind of like a last warm-up second attempt is getting close to something that's you know pretty reasonable like you know RP 9 N and a half and then your last one you're hoping to get kind of your true maximum
