I don't like that notion in general that so try to say that getting it from a supplement is better than a whole food source I think that's a flawed premise from from the get-go
We can't find evidence that holds up here. Proponents are reasoning from mechanism or analogy rather than direct human data, and the most credible skeptics raise objections we can't dismiss.

he said he was just maybe semantically he could say it's a more sure way to get it because yes if you're telling everyone to avoid red meat and avoid animal foods then maybe it's more sure to give them a supplement but that doesn't mean it's the best way and it doesn't make it right it's it's a pretty faulty argument unfortunately
