you know because scurvy isn't just bleeding gums it's it's it's very dangerous and it can take a very long time to develop so there were some studies where they just put people on a zero C diet and they took a month to develop scurvy there were the study that you that you gave me they took three to four months to develop scurvy because they'd been given 70 milligrams a day for the six weeks before they want on the depletion diet but you develop scurvy when your total body pool is under 300 milligrams and your total body pool can be as much as 2 grams so if you go like if you were supplementing with vitamin C every time you had a cold you're probably peeing a lot of it out and you're probably putting a lot of it into that extra body storage and you might if you have two grams of vitamin C for your total body pools it's probably take you many many many years to develop scurvy even on a zero C diet I'm gonna take you a year or more if you're on them if you're on a like 8 milligram a day vitamin C diet maybe it takes you 10 years to develop scurvy but when you develop scurvy my visit the thing is like if you don't have warning signs and then all the sudden you have scurvy you're also at the point where you could spontaneously develop more serious problems than then bleeding gums or funny bruising like patterns
