there is a precursor there is a precursor molecule seven dehydro cholesterol that when exposed to ultraviolet b uvb light is made into cholecalciferol which is vitamin d3
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
the UVB is how D is made in the skin…. One reason why I tend to supplement (avoid some UV damage & still get Vit D).
When enough vitamin D is made from UVB in the skin...it stops converting 7-dehydrocholesterol into D3.
vitamin d3 is a fat-soluble vitamin that gets converted into a steroid hormone it is made in the skin upon UVB exposure from the Sun
