your aerobic capacity is a pyramid in that analogy the base is your zone two threshold right it's how much work can you do while keeping lactate at that sort of threshold that George Brooks and Inigo s Milan talk about of about two Millo but you do need to do what you're describing as well you have to do the pyramid building you have to build the peak of that pyramid those are the V2 Max sets
and you will increase your V2 Max doing that type of an exercise but not nearly not nearly as much as if you're doing intervals in the 3 to 8 Minute range
and I always like when we talk V2 Max training I think back to one of the actually first video podcast we ever did with Alex Hutchinson and you kind of want to walk people through I think a lot of times when you think of V2 Max training or Tabata training or like going all out a lot of times people kind of like lose sight at how hard that actually is
um but that that 3 to eight minutes is the is the optimal zone for for generating V2 max power right yeah that's so
