um but but the idea of like how much fitter you can be after years of doing something this is another point I want to make which is you know if you look at a lot of the literature in V2 Max training um you know it suggests that yeah it's you're people are capable of improving their V2 Max by 133% like that study I just quoted and so a lot of people hear that and they look at the table that I showed earlier and they say well I just had my V2 Max test and I was at the 50th percentile there's no way I'm going to get to the top 2% of someone two decades younger that would require literally increasing my V2 Max by 80% and this study showed that it could only happen 133% to which I say yeah that study was six weeks long you know when we give our patients these audacious goals we we talk about these as two and three-year goals um so it's very important to understand that whatever we're talking about here we're talking about over a very long period of time
