if we eat the animal nose-to-tail we're not going to get a copper excess from liver but if we eat Zhi rich foods like muscle meat without a copper source we could get copper deficient
The evidence is convergent. Multiple independent sources reach the same conclusion, the underlying mechanism is well-characterized, and even the field's most cautious voices treat it as worth doing.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
if we're not doing supplement we're eating animals we're not going to get excess zinc and we're not going to get excess copper as long as we eat the liver
zinc protects you from copper toxicity you're gonna get a lot of zinc if you're eating other animal foods like spleen or liver or muscle meat and it is basically impossible or virtually impossible very difficult to get copper toxic if you are eating any amount of zinc
so beef liver has a copper to sink ratio of about 0.36 so it's actually higher in copper to zinc and you're right it will it's a it's a great source of of balancing the two out
a great source of copper is liver and yet another reason that i'm a huge fan of organs and organ meats i don't really have any concerns about copper i'll just make a little side here and then i'll let you take it away i don't have concerns about copper toxicity with liver consumption of a few ounces a day there's zinc and muscle meat and zinc and liver they will balance each other
i think the best thing is just to get your zinc from meat and organs and then also to get your copper from a little bit of liver throughout the week at those doses
a little bit of liver 5 10 grams a day small amount of liver less than half an ounce
