the primary reason was they didn't see this in indigenous populations they were suffering from things that we had cured with antibiotics and other drugs like infections disease and of course you know they they were also experiencing famines and and interruptions in their life cycle that we wouldn't normally experience so their their mortality rates were not necessarily better than ours but what they also was if you made it to 15 years old the chances of making it to 80 or 90 were almost exactly the same exactly Westerners but without all the health issues so they never had hypertension they rarely had heart disease and it was very rare to find a cancer in these individuals
