we know that glutathione metabolism in type 2 diabetes is impaired that's not surprising because in types of diabetes you have insulin resistance you may have hyperinsulinemia but lower actions of insulin in the human body and i think this absence of glutathione production because of the absence of insulin signaling is one of the main things leading to microvascular complications and hyperglycemia i think this could also be at the root of increased rates or i should say the beginnings of atherosclerosis in diabetics
