the finding of that study was no there's no premature atherosclerosis in those patients with a quote unquote elevated LDL possibly because their metabolic Machinery is not broken
The headline is broadly defensible, but the qualifications matter. Effect sizes vary by population, the strongest claims rest on shorter trials, and credible voices push back on how it's typically framed.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.

my favorite example being glycogen storage disease glycogen sorce disease became extremely relevant to me because hey what is it that I'm positing is going on with people on a low carb diet well they have less glucose getting back to metabolism right therefore less gly glycogen stores if you have less glycogen stores your body detects that and then mobilizes more fatty acids to be fueled by what if your body has a disease where it thinks oh it's not even just that it thinks it literally does have less glycogen stores but therefore gets the signal over and over again to mobilize more fat well that's glycogen storage disease so they have higher triglycerides and they have higher abob containing lipoproteins but you know what they don't have higher levels of they don't have higher levels of atheroslerosis in spite of having the higher be and so there are now four studies that I found at least that were looking at glycogen stor disease yeah 1 a for example and it's not associated with premature atherosclerosis
there's a condition called glycogen storage disease 1a i think it's mongerkey's disease where people have elevated levels of ldl but they don't have elevated levels of atherosclerosis okay so what's going on there
