the insulin resistant person is going to have a higher level of insulin all things equal they're going to have a more difficult time oxidizing free fatty acid so as energy demand goes up from the muscle they're going to be more likely to utilize glycogen as opposed to utilizing triglyceride so at any point in time you might measure differences in glucose differences in lactate you might well you would see lactate as well but differences in triglyceride level you might also notice more fat in the liver or some fat in the liver of the insulin resistant person none in the insulin sensitive person
