can we please admit that the lipid hypothesis is deeply flawed? ... There is no evidence that LDL causes atherosclerosis on its own. End of story. ... The lipid hypothesis is dead. Admit it.
We can't find evidence that holds up here. Proponents are reasoning from mechanism or analogy rather than direct human data, and the most credible skeptics raise objections we can't dismiss.

Every Sunday: the week’s new conflicts and verdict changes — and nothing else.
Native comments, Twitter mentions, and Reddit threads about this claim — surfaced together so the conversation isn't fragmented across platforms.
Bookmarking — the dossier-vs-overview split is the right call. Most of the time I want overview; sometimes I want receipts.
Would love a "what would change this verdict" RSS feed. Sign me up if it exists.
I think there's tons of evidence that the idea that LDL is initiating heart disease is wildly over overly simplified and probably completely wrong
to make the argument that native LDL low-density lipoprotein causes atherosclerosis on its own is to take a very tenuous position that is not supported by the science
does LDL cause atherosclerosis uh if you ask me my opinion I would say absolutely not
i think that there is a ton of evidence to suggest we probably talked about this on the last podcast that ldl this ldl particle and these apob containing lipoproteins are not causative of atherosclerosis
I think this is completely wrong and I will question that now
